Origin of the Wedding Ring
The universal "image of adoration" has been around for eras, yet when did the custom of wearing a ring to symbolize marriage come to fruition?
I did a little research and however the correct beginning is obscure, students of history appeared to fundamentally trust old Egypt began the custom most like our advanced wearing of a wedding ring. Archeological disclosures, some going back over 3,000 years prior, drove them to this conclusion. Symbolism on antiques, for example, papyrus scrolls, uncover an antiquated culture that traded rings plaited from reeds and hemp, and here and there gold or silver wire. Through deciphered hieroglyphics, specialists figured out how this general public saw the hover as an image of unending affection between a man and lady. Furthermore, Egyptians wore wedding rings on the ring finger of their left hands. They trusted this finger held an exceptional vein straightforwardly associated with the heart. The idea was passed down to different societies, and hundreds of years after the fact, it was authored by the Latin expression "vena amoris" or vein of affection.
